The National Archive of Data on Arts and Culture (NADAC) at the University of Michigan's Institute for Social Research

NADAC is a repository that facilitates research on arts and culture by acquiring data, particularly those funded by federal agencies and other organizations, and sharing those data with researchers, policymakers, people in the arts and culture field, and the general public.

Arts + Social Impact Explorer

An online primer from Americans for the Arts that draws together top-line research, example projects, core research papers, and service/partner organisations about 26 different sectors.

Arts Research Monitor

Produced in Canada by Hill Strategies, it provides synopses of qualitative and quantitative research findings in the arts and culture.

CultureLab

The CultureLab Library is a hub for research and learning created and maintained by WolfBrown. Use of the library is free of charge, although registration is required.

Archived resources

Culture and Sport Evidence Programme (CASE) Database

The CASE database marshals in one place studies that examine the drivers, impact and value of engagement in culture and sport. Last updated in 2012.

University of Chicago Cultural Policy Centre Digest

The Digest identified important academic research that is often inaccessible, due to paywalls or jargon, and presented it in summary form for a broad audience of scholars, practitioners, and policymakers. It was published three times a year and each issue tackled a particular theme. It is discontinued.

Createquity Arts Policy Library

Bringing greater attention to the important ongoing work in the field of arts research and synthesising it for a lay audience. It is no longer updated but lives on in the form of Research Spotlight.

ArtsEdSearch

ArtsEdSearch is a project of the Arts Education Partnership in the US and is a large compendium of research looking at the subject of arts education. The site mostly comprises research summaries of books, chapters and articles. These are then ordered around particular themes.
